Fatal Car Accidents in Oregon

Yamhill County, OR – Ruben Granados Zanchez Killed in Car Crash on Highway 18Losing a loved one due to a fatal accident can have devastating consequences for families. Unfortunately, hundreds of innocent lives are lost every year as a direct result of automobile accidents. Quite often, these accidents are caused by motorists who operate their vehicles with negligence. Leading factors in vehicle collisions across our state include:

Distractions: When motorists use their phones to text, talk, or browse the internet, they can cause serious injuries to other people sharing the road. We see many accidents caused by distracted drivers who drift out of their lines and crash into other vehicles nearby.

Intoxication: Drivers who are impaired simply lack the ability to make responsible decisions while behind the wheel. As a result, they cause serious accidents that can result in fatalities.

Failing to yield: When drivers fail to yield to other motorists, they can cause serious injury accidents or even fatalities. These accidents are frequently reported at busy intersections in Yamhill County and across the state.

Inclement weather: When traveling on icy and slippery roadways, it is important that drivers maintain a safe speed and control over their vehicles. Unfortunately, we see many people hurt in accidents caused by drivers who fail to exercise caution during inclement weather conditions.
