Washington County, OR – One Killed in Truck Crash on OR-6
Washington County, OR (February 4, 2021) – An automobile accident reported in Washington County on Wednesday morning claimed one person’s life. Just after 8:45 a.m., on February 3, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a crash on Oregon State Highway 6.
Reports from authorities show that a pickup truck and a log truck collided on Oregon State Highway 6 just one mile west of Northwest Timber Road. The impact of the crash caused moderate damage to the pickup truck. Bystanders rushed to the scene and pulled the driver out of the pickup truck before the vehicles caught on fire.
The Forest Grove Fire Department responded to the scene to secure the area. Both vehicles were located on-site in flames. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
