Fatal Auto Accidents in Oregon
Fatal crashes are the cause of hundreds of deaths in Oregon every year. Regrettably, many of these accidents are completely preventable. Drivers who engage in reckless and negligent actions continue to take the lives of innocent people every single day. We see countless accidents caused by drivers who are speeding, intoxicated, or failing to yield to others.
Unfortunately, there are many accidents caused by inclement weather conditions. Wet weather conditions can make roads more slippery in increase the risk of driver skating and losing control of their vehicles.
In addition, heavy rain conditions can cause reduced visibility, which can make it more difficult for drivers to see other vehicles and obstacles on the road. Strong wind conditions can also cause trees and other debris to fall into the roadway, which can block traffic or even cause vehicles to overturn. Having objects fall into the roadway while visibility is reduced just increases the chances of severe accidents taking place.
Finally, winter weather conditions can make driving extremely hazardous, particularly if the road is covered with snow or ice. Drivers often find difficulty in navigating these road conditions, as they are at an increased risk of losing control and striking other vehicles and objects nearby. They also run the risk of having other drivers sharing the road lose control and strike their vehicles.
All of these weather conditions can create extremely dangerous driving conditions that are often too much for even the most experienced drivers to handle. Unfortunately, auto accidents that are right weather-related take place frequently.
