Salem, OR (September 7, 2022) – A motor vehicle collision took place on the northeast side of Salem on Tuesday morning that ultimately took the life of one person while leaving another person injured. On September 6, the Salem Police Department responded to a crash that took place on Hollywood Drive Northeast.

At approximately 7:41 a.m., two vehicles collided on Hollywood Drive Northeast at the intersection of San Francisco Drive Northeast. Both vehicles suffered significant damage in the crash.

The incident prompted the Salem Police Department to close down Hollywood Drive between snow Berry Street and Silverton Road as they worked to clear the area.

One person involved in the class was fatally injured. A second victim was hospitalized for the treatment of injuries as a result of this collision.

The police department in Salem is investigating the crash at this time.
