Salem, OR – Felipe Hernandez Killed in Head-On Traffic Wreck on Cordon Rd
Salem, OR (October 16, 2022) – A 51-year-old man has died as a result of a traffic collision that took place in Marion County. On October 13, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a crash that occurred on Cordon Road.
According to local law enforcement, 33-year-old Hugo Hernandez Rojas was driving south on Cordon Road in a Chevrolet Suburban. For unknown reasons, his vehicle crashed head-on into a Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the Toyota, 51-year-old Felipe Hernandez, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Rojas was arrested and charged with secondary manslaughter, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of intoxicants as a result of this crash.
The Marion County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident at this time.
