Salem, OR – Fatal Crash Reported on Church St between D St & Union St

Salem, OR (July 26, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Salem area ended in fatal injuries, according to local law enforcement. Just before 4 p.m., on July 23, emergency crews were called to the scene of a traffic-related incident on Church Street Northeast.

Reports from authorities show that a collision between vehicles took place in the late afternoon hours on Church Street Northeast in the area of D Street Northeast and Union Street.

The incident blocked the roadway, causing moderate delays throughout the area. Firefighters and police responded to the scene and closed off the roadway as they worked to clear the area. At least one person involved in the crash was fatally injured.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the police.
