Salem, OR (March 23, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident involving several vehicles took place on Saturday, causing severe delays in the area while leaving at least one person injured. On March 20, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Route 99 East.

Reports show that several vehicles collided on Route 99 E near the intersection with Chemawa Road during the evening hours. The incident blocked off the intersection, causing severe delays in traffic throughout the area.

EMS transported an unknown number of victims to local hospitals for treatment following this incident. At this time, the police in Portland are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
