Portland, OR (July 9, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Thursday evening in the Portland area left one person significantly injured. Just after 7:20 p.m., on July 7, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Barnes Road.

Reports provided by authorities show that a 72-year-old woman had just left St. Vincent’s Medical Center after visiting her husband in the hospital. As the woman attempted to cross Barnes Road, a vehicle ran a red light and crashed into her at full speed.

The woman suffered severe injuries as a result of the accident. She was rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
