Fatal Car Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – Woman Loses Life in Three-Vehicle Crash on NW Yeon AveEvery year, hundreds of people across the state of Oregon are fatally injured in motor vehicle accidents. Quite often, these crashes are completely preventable. However, we continue to see a significant number of victims and families impacted by the negligent actions of drivers.

Some of the most common causes of fatal accidents that we see in Oregon include:

  • drivers who failed to yield the right of way to other motorists sharing the road
  • drivers who run red lights and pass stop signs at intersections
  • drivers who are using their phones to talk or text while operating their vehicles
  • drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol

When motorists enter the roadway while engaging in these and other acts of negligence, they place the lives of everyone else at risk. Unfortunately, many people end up dying as a result of these actions. When innocent victims lose their lives in accidents, their families may have legal options available to help them move forward.
