Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – Woman Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on SW Hall Blvd near SW Lucille CourtPedestrian accidents in Oregon claim the lives of countless people every year. Our state saw a 22% increase in the number of fatal pedestrian accidents between 2018 and 2019. Regrettably, these numbers continue to increase year after year.

According to statistics, around 80% of vehicle collisions are a result of driver action. When drivers are distracted, impaired, or engage in reckless behaviors while operating their vehicles, they are likely to cause accidents with overwhelming consequences. Not only are bereaved families forced to endure the emotional challenges of losing a loved one, but they are often forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on funeral expenses, tackle burial costs, and move forward without an income they have grown to depend on.

When victims lose their lives in accidents due to the negligence of others, it is crucial that their families seek the legal guidance of a wrongful death attorney in Portland as soon as possible. Working with a reputable and responsive legal team is a family’s best bet for recovering.
