Portland, OR – Woman Killed in Car Crash on Highway 20 near MM 3
Portland, OR (May 25, 2021) – One woman has lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Lincoln County on Monday morning. On May 24, the Oregon State Police responded to the scene of an accident on Highway 20.
Reports from authorities show that a 32-year-old man was traveling east on Highway 20 in a Ford F-250 pickup truck while towing a 16-foot fully enclosed trailer. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the center lanes.
After entering the westbound lanes, the truck collided with a Ford Fiesta, driven by a 29-year-old woman. The impact of the crash caused the trailer to come loose and collide with a Dodge Magnum near mile marker 3. The driver of the Dodge, a 432-year-old man sustained injuries in the accident but did not require hospitalization.
The driver of the Fiesta was fatally injured in the accident. Authorities responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased from her injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
