Portland, OR (November 20, 2021) – Two people were left with injuries following a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in the Newport area. At around 8:33 a.m., on November 17, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Highway 101.

Reports from authorities show that a man and a juvenile male were waiting at the bus stop on Highway 101 near mile marker 137 during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, a Lincoln County Transit bus passed through the area and struck both of the pedestrians.

The two victims were injured. Both victims were transported to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport. Both of the injured victims were then airlifted to a Portland-area hospital for care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
