Portland, OR (April 11, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported early Saturday morning in the Tualatin area sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. Just after 2:20 a.m., on April 9, the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded to the scene of a major collision on Highway 217.
Reports provided by authorities show that two vehicles were involved in an accident on the northbound lanes of the highway. The incident caused major delays in the area near the exit for 72nd Avenue. Both vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the crash.
Two people were extricated from their vehicles. A total of five people were transported to area hospitals for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
