Portland, OR – Three Killed in Car Crash on Highway 26
Portland, OR (February 11, 2021) – Authorities were called to the site of a crash in Clatsop County that resulted in fatal injuries. On February 10, the Oregon State Police responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 26.
Reports from authorities show that 21-year-old Walter Smith was traveling west on Highway 26 in a Mercedes station wagon when his vehicle collided with a Toyota Tacoma near milepost 11.
The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the two vehicles. The driver of the Tacoma was airlifted to a hospital in Portland for the treatment of injuries. All three people in the Mercedes, identified as Smith, his 20-year-old passenger Erick Fadness, and a 16-year-old female, were all killed instantly. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
