Portland, OR – Skateboarder Loses Life in Crash on N Interstate Ave & N Mississippi Ave
Portland, OR (December 27, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Portland area on Saturday afternoon claimed one person’s life. Just after 2 p.m., on December 25, the police, firefighters, and paramedics were requested on-site at a crash on North Interstate Avenue.
Reports from the Portland Police show that a skateboarder was riding in the area of North Interstate Avenue and North Mississippi Avenue. For unknown reasons, they were struck by a vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene, leaving the victim laying on the roadway with severe injuries.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to render aid to the victim as the police and firefighters secured the area. Authorities confirmed that the victim passed away while at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
