Portland, OR  (January 21, 2022) – A Portland Police officer was left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Montavilla area on Wednesday evening. On January 19, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Northeast Glisan Street.

Reports from the Portland police show that a police officer was positioned at a motor vehicle accident near Northeast Glisan Street and northeast 82nd Avenue. For unknown reasons, a woman rear-ended the officer’s vehicle.

The officer was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The woman was arrested for being impaired by drugs while operating her vehicle.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
