Portland, OR – Person Hit, Killed by Union Pacific Train near NE 138th Ave & NE Sandy Blvd
Portland, OR (April 30, 2023) – A pedestrian was fatally injured as a result of a crash that took place on Thursday evening on the northeast side of Portland.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on April 27, emergency crews were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on Northeast 138th Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that a pedestrian was struck by a Union Pacific train just west of the roadway near Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
The person involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries by responding officers.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
