Portland, OR – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle at NW St Helens Rd & 63rd Ave
Portland, OR (September 5, 2021) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Portland area on Saturday morning claimed one person’s life. At around 5 a.m., on September 4, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Northwest St Helens Road.
Reports from the Portland Police Department show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while traveling in the area of Northwest St Helens Road and 63rd Avenue. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and immediately secured the area. Although medical personnel responded to treat the injured victim, they passed away at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
