Portland, OR – One Severely Injured in Pedestrian Crash with Train at NE 82nd Ave & NE Jonesmore StOregon Legal News
Portland, OR (May 17, 2022) – A pedestrian crash reported on the Northeast side of Portland left one person with critical injuries on Sunday evening, May 15. At around 9 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau was notified that an auto accident on Northeast Jonesmore Street required assistance.
Reports from the police show that a pedestrian was traveling in the area of Northeast Jonesmore Street and Northeast 82nd Avenue during the evening hours. For an unknown reason, they were struck by a MAX train.
The pedestrian sustained serious and life-threatening injuries. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for emergency care.
The police and firefighters closed off the area and remained on-site until 4 a.m., on May 16.
At this time, investigations are ongoing.
