Portland, OR – One Person Lost Their Life in Crash on Highway 240 near NE Red Hills Rd
Portland, OR (July 28, 2021) – Emergency crews in the Portland area were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that claimed one person’s life on Tuesday morning. At around 5:30 a.m., on July 26, emergency crews were notified that a collision took place on Highway 240.
Reports from local authorities show that a collision between vehicles occurred on Highway 240 near the intersection of Northeast Red Hills Road during the morning hours. The incident prompted the response of both Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and Life Flight.
The police and firefighters secured the area as they worked to remove vehicles and debris from the roadway. EMS tended to injured victims before those in need of further care were transported to local hospitals.
One person involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
