Portland, OR – One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Pedestrian Crash on SE 19th Ave
Portland, OR (January 26, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision reported on Monday afternoon claimed one person’s life on the southeast side of Portland. At around 1 p.m., on January 25, the Portland Fire Department, police, and EMS responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Southeast 19th Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that a silver Honda Element was driving in the vicinity of Southeast 19th Avenue and Stark Street when the vehicle crashed into a group of around six pedestrians.
The driver stopped the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Crews arrived and rendered aid to all six pedestrians before transporting them to area hospitals for treatment. One victim ended up passing away from their injuries after arriving.
The driver of the vehicle was later arrested by the Portland Police. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
