Fatal Car Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – One Killed in Car Crash on SE 80th Ave & Powell BlvdA fatal car crash can have an overwhelming impact on your family. Unfortunately, hundreds of people die every year as a result of car crashes that occur in the state of Oregon. There are many instances where innocent people die as a result of drivers who are negligent. Some of the leading causes of these fatal accidents include:

  • Failing to Yield the Right of Way: Drivers who fail to yield the right of way to other motorists place their lives directly at risk. Unfortunately, we see many of these accidents take place, especially at busy intersections in the Portland area.
  • Running Red Lights at Intersections: By running a red light, a driver is putting themselves and others in danger of being involved in a collision. Many accidents that involve drivers who run red lights at intersections are T-bone collisions or head-on crashes.
  • Distracted Drivers: Distracted driving is especially dangerous because it increases the chances of a driver missing something important, like a stop sign or pedestrian crossing the street. This can lead to a serious or fatal accident.
