Portland, OR – One Killed in Car Crash on NE Sandy Blvd near NE Killingsworth St
Portland, OR (May 7, 2021) – One person lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in the Portland area. Just after 11:30 p.m., on May 6, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
According to reports, 29-year-old Anthony L. Soto was traveling down Northeast Killingsworth Street at a high rate of speed when his vehicle became involved in a collision on Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
Police arrived at the scene and found the vehicle crashed into a pole at the intersection. Inside, Soto was located with severe injuries. His passenger, a 25-year-old male, was fatally injured and died at the scene.
Soto was arrested and faces charges for DUII, reckless driving, second-degree manslaughter, and other charges. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
