Portland, OR – Multi-Vehicle Accident Causes Injuries, Delays on I-5

Portland, OR (September 26, 2021) – A major motor vehicle accident reported on Saturday afternoon ended in injuries. On September 25, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 5.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between several vehicles took place on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5. Crews arrived at the scene to find several vehicles damaged, including a boat that dislodged from a trailer.

The crash prompted crews to close the roadway just 5-miles north of Woodburn for several hours as they worked to clear the roadway and restore the flow of traffic.

At least one person was transported to an area hospital for medical care.

Crews were able to reopen two lanes of northbound Interstate 5 at around 6:45 p.m. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
