Fatal Car Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – Mitchell Daniel Kuenzi Loses Life in Car Crash on Downs Rd NE at the Intersection of Highway 214Fatal traffic accidents in Oregon take the lives of hundreds of people annually. Unfortunately, a significant portion of these accidents are a result of driver negligence. When drivers fail to safely operate their vehicles, deflates the lives of innocent lives.

There are many instances where accidents take place at busy intersections. Fatal car crashes take place at intersections for a variety of reasons. The leading cause of fatal car accidents at intersections is failure to yield the right-of-way. This occurs when a driver does not yield to oncoming traffic or pedestrians when they have the right-of-way. Drivers who fail to yield often cause serious collisions, as they are usually going faster than the other vehicles or pedestrians involved.

Other leading causes of fatal car accidents at intersections include running red lights and stop signs, making illegal turns, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. These types of violations are all too common and often result in serious injuries or even death.
