Fatal Car Accidents in Oregon
Every year, motor vehicle accidents throughout our state leave tens of thousands of people with life-altering injuries. Although we want to believe that everyone is able to overcome their injuries, this is not always the case. More than 500 people end up passing away from their injuries every year following crashes in Oregon. Accidents involving buses and other commercial vehicles are more likely to end in fatal injuries.
Regrettably, around 80% of vehicle collisions are a result of driver action. When drivers are distracted, impaired, or engage in reckless behaviors while operating their vehicles, they are likely to cause accidents with overwhelming consequences. These accidents often leave bereaved families struggling to move forward. As they attempt to deal with the mental and emotional consequences of an unexpected loss, they are forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on funeral expenses and deal with unanticipated financial repercussions.
When victims lose their lives in accidents due to the negligence of others, it is crucial that their families seek the legal guidance of a wrongful death attorney in Portland as soon as possible. Working with a reputable and responsive legal team is a family’s best bet for recovering.
