Portland, OR – Lynn Proctor Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 26 near E Sylvan Dr

Portland, OR (September 8, 2022) – A motor vehicle crash reported in the Portland area on Wednesday morning claimed the life of 75-year-old Lynn Proctor. Preliminary reports show that the Oregon State Police and emergency personnel were all called to the scene of a crash at approximately 710 a.m. on September 7.

Reportedly, 75-year-old Lynn Proctor was traveling on the westbound shoulder of Highway 26 during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a commercial vehicle as she attempted to cross the roadway in the area near East Sylvan Drive.

Proctor suffered fatal injuries due to the accident. Despite the best efforts of emergency crews to render aid to the victim, she was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.

The Oregon State Police is initiating an investigation into the crash at this time.
