Portland, OR – Jeri Sherrod Loses Life in Truck Crash on I-5 near MM 267
Portland, OR (June 18, 2021) – A pedestrian accident reported early Thursday morning claimed one man’s life in the Portland area. At around 1 a.m., on June 17, the Oregon State Police received the notification that an accident on Interstate 5 required assistance.
Reports from authorities show that during the early morning hours, 63-year-old Jeri Sherrod was standing near the northbound side of Interstate 5 at milepost 267 just south of Woodburn.
For unknown reasons, Sherrod was struck by at least one vehicle. The victim sustained severe injuries in the accident. Passersby requested medical attention for the injured victim. However, crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
At this time, investigations to determine the cause of the crash remain underway.
