Portland, OR (May 24, 2022) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the Portland area early Monday morning, May 23. At around 3:25 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau and firefighters responded to a crash that took place on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Reports provided by PPB indicate that a crash between vehicles blocked Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at the intersection of Northeast Vancouver Way. The crash caused significant traffic delays throughout the area as the police and firefighters worked to clear the scene.

Emergency medical services provided treatment to injured victims on-site before transporting them to area hospitals for further care.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
