Portland, OR (August 29, 2022) – A vehicle crash in the Portland area prompted the response of the police and area firefighters on Sunday afternoon, August 28. At around 3:40 p.m., officers with the Portland Police Bureau responded to the scene of a motor vehicle wreck that occurred on Interstate 205 Freeway.

Reports provided by the police show that a crash involving vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 205 Freeway. The incident caused disruptions in traffic near Northeast Glisan Street. Officers with the Portland Police Bureau assisted firefighters in blocking off multiple lanes of the roadway while working to clear the scene.

Area medical service workers were called to the scene to provide aid to victims who suffered injuries as a result of this vehicle collision. Those who required further assistance were then transported to local hospitals by ambulance. The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation by the Portland police Bureau at this time.
