Portland, OR – Frank Koch Fatally Struck by Vehicle While Riding Bike on Highway 51 between Halls Ferry Rd & Rogers Rd
Portland, OR (October 7, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a bicycle accident in Polk County on Tuesday evening, October 5. At around 7:36 p.m., authorities in Portland were called to the site of a crash on Highway 51.
Reports from the Oregon State Police show that 80-year-old Frank Koch was riding a bicycle on Highway 51, in the area between Halls Ferry Road and Rogers Road, during the evening hours.
For unknown reasons, 33-year-old Krystal Kamback crashed her Toyota Prius into Koch.
The impact of the crash caused Koch to be thrown from his bicycle. The man sustained fatal injuries in the accident and died at the scene.
Kamback was not injured. At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Oregon State Police.
