Fatal Auto Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – Four Killed in Major Crash on Front St NE near Division StRegrettably, no person is out of harm’s way when it comes to the possibility of being harmed in a motor vehicle accident. In fact, people who travel outside of vehicles are even at risk. Each year, motor vehicle crashes have a life-altering impact on people across our state.

Pedestrian accidents are often catastrophic due to the fact that these people are not protected from outside forces. Although we like to believe we are taking measures toward protecting pedestrians, we continue to see them injured and killed at an alarming rate. Statistics for the state of Oregon show that a 22% increase in the number of pedestrians who lost their lives in traffic crashes occurred between 2018 and 2019. Around 20 victims end up losing their lives in these crashes each year in the Portland area.

Families who lose loved ones in motor vehicle collisions are often required to spend tens of thousands of dollars on medical expenses, funerals, and other unanticipated costs. Although there is nothing that can be done to bring back those taken away suddenly and unexpectedly, bereaved families may have legal options available to help them move forward after suffering the unexpected loss of a loved one due to another driver’s actions. By contacting a wrongful death attorney in Portland, families may be able to obtain compensation to help cover the financial burdens they face.
