Portland, OR (July 10, 2021) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Sherwood area sent several people to local hospitals with injuries. During the afternoon hours of July 9, the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue was requested on-site at a crash on Oregon on State Highway 99 West.

Reports provided by local news sources show that a collision between a red sedan and a blue sedan occurred on Oregon State Highway 99 West during the afternoon hours. The incident blocked the roadway, causing severe delays throughout the area.

A total of five people sustained injuries in the accident. EMS responded to the scene and rendered aid to victims. Two injured victims were transported to local trauma centers. At least one of these victims was transported by helicopter for treatment. Three other injured parties were transported to area hospitals via ambulance. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
