Portland, OR (July 2, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday evening that claimed one person’s life. At around 5 p.m., on June 30, the Oregon State Police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Highway 36.

Reports provided by authorities show that 91-year-old Evelyn Carder was driving a Jeep renegade through the intersection of Highway 36 in Dorsey Lane when she became involved in a collision with a dump truck.

The driver of the dump truck, Fred Morgan Jr, sustained minor injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene.

Carder suffered significant injuries and she was subsequently pronounced deceased.

At this time, the Oregon State Police are investigating the crash.
