Portland, OR – Driver Loses Life in T-Bone Crash at NE Glisan St & NE 162nd Ave

Portland, OR (August 12, 2021) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Portland area. On August 8, emergency crews were requested at the scene of an accident on Northeast Glisan Street.

Reports from local authorities show that a vehicle was traveling south on 162nd Avenue. As the vehicle passed through the intersection of Northeast Glisan Street, it was t-boned on the driver’s side by a vehicle that ran a red light.

The driver of the struck vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and pronounced the victim deceased. The driver of the striking vehicle was subsequently arrested and faces multiple charges for this accident, including driving while impaired.

A passenger in the striking vehicle sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a local trauma hospital for care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the police in Portland.
