Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Oregon

Portland, OR – Dale Roberts Struck & Killed by Vehicle on Highway 38Each year, motor vehicle accidents have a life-altering impact on people across our state. Regrettably, no one is out of harm’s way when it comes to the possibility of being injured. In fact, people who travel outside of vehicles are even at risk. Pedestrian accidents are often catastrophic due to the fact that these people are not protected from outside forces.

Although we like to believe we are taking measures toward protecting pedestrians, we continue to see them harmed and killed at an alarming rate. Statistics in the state of Oregon show that a 22% increase in the number of pedestrians who lost their lives in traffic collisions occurred between 2018 and 2019. Nearly 20 people end up losing their lives in these accidents each year in the Portland area.

To make matters even worse, families are often forced to go without a reliable source of income while having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on end-of-life arrangements. When victims are killed unexpectedly as a result of the actions of others, it is crucial that their families seek legal guidance from a qualified wrongful death attorney in Oregon as soon as possible.
