Portland, OR – Crash with Injuries reported on Sunset Highway near Canyon Tunnel

Portland, OR (October 24, 2021) – Authorities were notified that a crash took place on Saturday morning, October 23, that ended in injuries. Just before 6 a.m., the Portland Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Sunset Highway.

Reports from local authorities show that a collision between vehicles took place on the westbound side of the highway in the area near the Canyon Tunnel. The incident caused moderate delays in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.

EMS units responded to the scene of the crash and rendered aid to victims. At least one person was transported from the site of the crash to a local hospital where they underwent further treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
