Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Oregon
Although we want to believe that everyone is able to overcome their injuries, this is not always the case. Regrettably, there are many cases where victims succumb to their injuries. In fact, around 500 people lose their lives each year in traffic-related incidents throughout the state of Oregon. There are many instances where people are using motorcycles at the time of their accidents. These victims are far more vulnerable than those in vehicles because they are not protected by the steel frames of vehicles. Instead, they have little more than helmets to keep them safe.
When motorcyclists lose their lives in accidents, families are often forced to deal with towering financial consequences from the economic and non-economic damages they face. Lost wages, funeral expenses, and even vehicle repairs can be nearly impossible for grieving families to cover. For this reason, surviving relatives have legal options available to help them obtain compensation to cover the costs they face.
When people lose their lives in motorcycle accidents due to the negligence of others, it is essential that their families seek the legal guidance of a wrongful death attorney in Portland as soon as possible. Working with a skilled and knowledgeable legal team is a family’s best bet for recovering.
