Portland, OR (August 2, 2021) – Authorities were requested at the scene of an auto accident that claimed one woman’s life on Wednesday evening. At approximately 8:30 p.m., on July 28, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on River Road.

Reports from local authorities indicate that 64-year-old Becky Dietzel was standing in the area of River Road and Cummings Lane when she was struck by 47-year-old Sean Beck in a sedan as he fled the police.

Dietzel suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. Police were able to apprehend Beck, who is facing multiple charges for this accident. At this time, the Portland Police Department is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
