Portland, OR (February 19, 2022) – Authorities in the Portland area were requested to provide assistance at the scene of a crash that ended in injuries. At around 8:20 a.m., on February 16, the Portland Police Bureau was notified that a crash took place on Interstate 5.

Reports indicate that a collision involving a white pickup truck and a silver pickup truck occurred on the northbound left lanes of Interstate 5 in the area near Southwest Taylors Ferry Road.

The crash caused severe delays in the area that extended back toward Haines Street as crews worked to clear the roadway.

Medics provided care to victims on-site. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals for further treatment and evaluation.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
