Portland, OR (July 5, 2022) – Authorities in the Portland area were notified that a crash h took place during the morning hours that required assistance. Just before 6:40 a.m., on July 3, the Portland Police Bureau and firefighters were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a collision that occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway.

Reports from local authorities indicate that a crash between vehicles blocked the southbound side of the Interstate 5 Freeway during the morning hours. The incident caused delays in the area near exit 307 for North Marine Drive.

The police and firefighters closed off a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.

Medical personnel rendered aid to the victims on-site. At least one person involved in the collision was transported to a local hospital for the treatment and evaluation of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
