Portland, OR (May 25, 2022) – The Portland Police Bureau responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon that left at least one person injured. Just after 2:45 p.m., on May 24, the police and emergency crews were notified that an auto accident took place on the Interstate 5 Freeway.

Reports provided by the Portland police show that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of the freeway in the area at Northeast Broadway. The incident caused some delays throughout the area as the police blocked the roadway to prevent further damage to the vehicles involved.

Injuries were confirmed in this accident. At least one person was transported to a local hospital where they underwent medical treatment.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation by PPB.
