Portland, OR (March 7, 2021) – An automobile accident reported on Saturday morning ended in injuries, according to local authorities. At approximately 12:42 a.m., on March 6, the Portland Police Bureau responded to the site of a collision on East Burnside Street.

Reports from authorities show that an American Medical Response Ambulance was traveling through the intersection of East Burnside Street and Northeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard when it was struck by a 2008 Subaru Legacy Outback sedan.

The driver of the Subaru, 18-year-old Lacorius M Jenkins, became pinned inside his vehicle. The Portland Fire and Rescue extricated the trapped driver. Jenkins was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

A total of three people were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the Portland Police Department is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
