Portland, OR – 82-year-old Procoro Hidalgo-Lazaro Killed in Pedestrian Crash on SW Gaarde StOregon Legal News
Portland, OR (July 27, 2022) – Authorities have confirmed that 82-year-old Procoro Hidalgo-Lazaro suffered fatal injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Portland area on Saturday evening, July 23.
At approximately 730 p.m., the Tigard Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Southwest Gaarde Street.
According to Tigard Police, Hidalgo-Lazaro was walking near the westbound side of Southwest Gaarde Street during the evening hours. A 62-year-old woman was driving a vehicle along the roadway at the same time. As the vehicle traveled westbound down Southwest Gaarde Street, it struck the pedestrian.
Hidalgo-Lazaro suffered fatal injuries due to the accident. He was pronounced deceased from his injuries at the scene by responding officers.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tigard Police Department at this time.
