Matthew Maline

Matt practices a wide range of law, with an emphasis on landlord-tenant, real estate, and business matters. He also manages the firm’s small business program. Originally licensed in New York, Matt developed extensive appellate experience as an Honors Associate at the New York City Housing Authority. He carried this over to his private practice, where he represented dozens of low-income housing providers, tenant groups, and churches in complex real estate transactions and high stakes litigation.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Matt pursued his interest in theater by working for several Broadway production companies. Show tunes continue to top his annual Spotify list of most listened to genres. He now lives in downtown Portland, where even pre-pandemic he was baffled by the almost complete absence of people after 5:00 pm.
