Bicycle Accidents in Oregon
Bicycle accidents continue to happen every single day in the state of Oregon. Quite often, these crashes result in injuries for those involved. Bicycle accidents can be caused by a number of factors. With more and more people using phones and other electronic devices while behind the wheel, it’s no surprise that distracted driving is becoming a bigger problem on our roads. Drivers need to be aware of their surroundings at all times and should never take their eyes off the road for extended periods of time.
Another cause of bicycle accidents is poor road conditions. This can include everything from potholes and cracks to debris and uneven pavement. It’s important for cyclists to be aware of potential hazards on the road and take measures to avoid them when possible.
No matter what the causes of the accident are, these collisions can have serious consequences. Cyclists who are involved in accidents often suffer from broken bones, head injuries, and road rash. Even when these injuries are not life-threatening, they can be extremely painful and take a long time to heal. In some cases, cyclists may be left with permanent disabilities.
