Lincoln County, OR (April 20, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that 70-year-old David Weaverling lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Lincoln County on Monday morning, April 17.

LSP reports show that Weaverling was driving a Toyota RAV4 eastbound on Highway 20 when his vehicle collided head-on with a gray Toyota Tacoma.

The driver of the Tacoma, 29-year-old Summer Lovell, suffered injuries in the accident. Lovell was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.

Weaverling was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
