Car Accidents in Oregon
Accidents take place frequently in the state of Oregon and have devastating consequences for those involved. Unfortunately, we see many of these accidents take place at busy intersections.
There are several reasons why these accidents continue to take place so frequently in our state. One leading factor is driver inattention or distraction. This can be anything from eating while driving to texting on a cell phone. Even just not paying attention to the road can lead to an accident.
Another factor that commonly leads to car crashes at intersections is poor visibility. This can be due to weather conditions, like fog or rain, or due to objects blocking the view, like trees or buildings. Finally, speeding is also a major contributor to intersection accidents, as it makes it harder for drivers to stop in time if someone runs a red light or cuts them off.
If another driver’s negligence has caused you harm, you may be able to file a personal injury claim. A personal injury claim can help you obtain compensation for some of the costs and losses that you face. This can include recovering compensation for:
- Any and all medical expenses you face as a result of your accident.
- Any lost wages that you have acquired after having to take time off work to recover.
- Lost earning capacity if you have been deemed permanently disabled due to your injuries and are unable to work.
- The cost to replace or repair your vehicle, depending on the extent of the damage.
- The loss of enjoyment that you have due to your injuries.
- Pain and suffering that you have experienced as a result of the injuries you have and medical care that you require.
