Hillsboro, OR (September 15, 2022) – A vehicle wreck reported on Wednesday morning in the Hillsborough area left one person injured. At 6:40 a.m., on September 14, Hillsboro Fire & Rescue responded to a crash that occurred on northeast Cornell Road.

Reports from the Hillsboro Police Department show that a silver SUV and a black Nissan sedan collided on northeast Cornell Road near Northeast 25th Avenue. The SUV came to rest on top of the sedan.

The crash prompted the shutdown of both the east and westbound lanes of northeast Cornell Road. One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be removed by firefighters.

One victim was provided medical treatment for the injuries they suffered in the crash.

The Hillsboro Police Department is investigating the crash at this time.
