Hillsboro, OR – Lisa Lawson Loses Life in Crash on Highway 26 near MM 48Oregon Legal News
Hillsboro, OR (October 22, 2021) – One woman has lost her life following a motor vehicle accident in the Hillsboro area on Sunday afternoon, October 17.
Just after 3 p.m., the Oregon State Police responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 26.
Reports from OSP show that a GMC Sierra, operated by Brian Masters, was driving west on Highway 26. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed over the center lines and entered the westbound lanes. The GMC then crashed head-on into a Kia Soul near mile marker 48.
The driver of the Kia, Lisa Lawson, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the Kia, Jay Lawson, Masters, and his passenger, Leila Masters, were all transported to area hospitals for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
